1.8.2024 Introducing the new Mervis version 2.6.5, which brings several new features, such as support for the IEC 60870-104 protocol, easier configuration, addition of new devices to the library, and more.

Mervis is a complete software solution provided free of charge with the Neuron, Patron, and Unipi 1.1/1.1 Lite complete sets. It is a professional platform suitable for various deployments, from object monitoring to industrial automation. The Mervis IDE development environment is at the system's core and is designed to create, debug, and manage control programs for Unipi controllers.

It also includes a web-based HMI editor and a visualization editor for Mervis SCADA. In addition to the IDE, you also have the Mervis Cloud suite of online services - Mervis DB for storing variable history in a database, Mervis Proxy for secure remote access to PLCs, and Mervis SCADA for dispatching and data analysis. Main new features in Mervis IDE

Dispatching with IEC 60870-104
Mervis now supports the IEC 60870-104 protocol used in PV dispatching, certified in the Czech Republic for CEZ. The license must be purchased separately; contact our sales department for more information. Read about the use of the IEC 60870-5-104 protocol in our Knowledge Base

Clearer configuration
PLC properties and RT (runtime) configuration are now separated, and the network interfaces within the RT configuration are set in a new way. This makes everything clearer and simpler for the user.

New Modbus device definitions
Many new Modbus device definitions have been added to the library, such as GoodWe and Grundfos. Users simply select a template in the library and have the information from the device immediately available, without having to waste time manually defining it.

What is new in Mervis OS

Change TCP port to 50200
TCP port of Modbus I/O server has been changed to 50200 for Unipi devices (Patron, Neuron, Gate, Unipi 1.1 & 1.1 Lite). This makes port 502 free and allows the controller to easily create a Modbus server device on port 502 so that devices that only support this port can connect. The updated device definitions are included in the Mervis IDE.

Other new features

  • Full support for web HMI control on touch screens added
  • Removed static 1s refresh interval for Modbus server device values
  • Unipi Axon is no longer supported in this version of Mervis
  • The license is now stored in the hardware and will remain in the hardware and activate after the OS is reloaded

If you have your own tried-and-tested device definition (e.g., inverters, frequency converters, heat pumps, meters, etc.) and want to include it in the next version of Mervis IDE or if you need help creating such a device, please contact our technical support.

Installation and download
The Mervis IDE 2.6.5 installation file can be downloaded from the Unipi Knowledge Base. To use the new Mervis with Unipi controllers, Mervis OS image of at least version 2.6.5 is required.
