Amper Savings uses Gate G110, Patron S107, and Extension xS51 units as part of buildings energy savings project. The Unipi controllers are used to manage and collect data from the object heat exchange stations, photovoltaic power plants and cogeneration units.
Amper Savings is part of the Amper Group, which provides energy services, including implementing energy-saving projects and optimizing energy management. Amper Savings delivers its services with guaranteed savings using active energy management. It uses a sophisticated dispatching system with online management of installed technologies and regular trend evaluation to achieve maximum energy efficiency and cost optimization.
Problem
The aim was to obtain a programmable logic controller (PLC) to manage the building's heat exchange stations in the area. The customer required units to control the on-site heat exchange stations, monitor photovoltaic power plants and cogeneration units.
Solution
The Unipi Patron, Gate, and Extension units are used to control 42 on-site heat exchangers that regulate the heating depending on the outside temperature for the 42 pavilions of the complex.
Furthermore, the programmable logic controllers are used for:
- monitoring and dispatching of two new photovoltaic power plants and a cogeneration unit
- gas meter reading for the area
- readings of network analyzers in the main substation
- integration of the existing control systems of the 5 air handling units
- integration of the technologies of the new boiler house
The project is built on Mervis and Mervis SCADA platforms.
A total of 46 Gate G110 units, 2 Patron S107 units, and 146 xS51 extensions are used in the facility. In addition, 42 Weintek displays are also implemented.
"In general, I see Unipi as a powerful machine at a reasonable price and very easy to reach regarding our preferred dispatching environment. So it is an ideal device to integrate into our projects" - Ing. Radek Vrána; CEO of Amper Savings
